How to link your phone/tablet scanning device

Set up your mobile device to scan customer loyalty cards with the Scanaroo app.

Before you start

Step-by-step guide

Step 1: Generate a Device QR Code

  • Log into your Keeperoo admin dashboard
  • Navigate to Settings → Devices
  • Click Add New Device
  • Enter a name for your device (e.g., "Front Counter iPad")
  • Set a 4-6 digit PIN for device security
  • Click Generate QR Code

Step 2: Download and Open Scanaroo

  • Download the Scanaroo app from the App Store or Google Play
  • Open the app on your device
  • Grant camera permissions when prompted
  • You should see a "No Device Paired" screen

Step 3: Scan the QR Code

  • Tap Scan QR Code in the Scanaroo app
  • Point your camera at the QR code on your admin screen
  • The app will automatically detect and scan the code
  • Enter the PIN you created in Step 1
  • Tap Pair Device

Step 4: Verify Connection

  • You should see your business name and device info in the app
  • The status should show "Connected"
  • In your admin dashboard, the device should appear as "Online"
  • Test scanning a loyalty card to ensure everything works
